LaPorte Girls Track and Field began the indoor season on 3/7 at Indiana Wesleyan University while competing at the first of their HSR (Hoosier State Relays) Qualifiers. Top results were as follows: 3200m Run- Caylin VanShoyck (11:50.62) 8th Place *Currently ranked 28th in the Large School State rankings. 60m Dash- Kyria Zapala (8.44) 15th Place 4x200m Relay- Kyria Zapala, Piper Cushway, Harlow Cushway, Samantha Best (2:00.58) 2nd Place Distance Medley Relay- Vivian Leniski, Lana Schable, Madalyn Kreamer, Caylin VansShoyck (14:02.38) 11th Place *Currently ranked 31st in the Large School State rankings. Shot Put- Rae Dawsey (29-08.75) 13th Place LPGTF had a great day at IWU, and we are very excited to see what we can continue to accomplish throughout indoor season. LPGTF will be back in action on 3/12 at Purdue University for another HSR Qualifier.
