LaPorte Slicer Varsity Falls To Lake Central Varsity Indians By GameChanger Media LaPorte Slicer Varsity lost to Lake Central Varsity Indians 4-2 on Tuesday. Lake Central Varsity Indians got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jacob Forystek doubled to center field, Tyler Thuftedal grounded out, and LaPorte Slicer Varsity committed an error, each scoring one run. Owen Kopercinski earned the win for Lake Central Varsity Indians. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking four. Cody Benedict took the loss for LaPorte Slicer Varsity. The starter went five innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out five and walking two. Khalen Matzke, Joey Kirk, CT Rusboldt, and Jon Rinkel each collected one hit for LaPorte Slicer Varsity. Kirk and Rusboldt each drove in one run for LaPorte Slicer Varsity. LaPorte Slicer Varsity had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Jordan Anderson, Keegan Ramos, and Rusboldt led the team with two walks each.
