On Friday, April 24th, Caylin VanShoyck had the honor of competing at the Carmel Distance Showcase in the 3200m Run. This meet showcases the best distance athletes throughout the state. Following an hour long lightning delay, Caylin came out and dominated her race—leading the race for the first 5.5 laps. Caylin was seeded 24th out of 24 in her heat, but finished her race 10th, with a time of 12:01.47. The coaching staff is so incredibly proud of Caylin for this accomplishment and cannot wait to see what else she is able to achieve as the season continues on.
