The Laporte slicers JV flag football team traveled to South Central high school to take on the satellites On Tuesday night. While they scored the first touchdown of the season, they ended up falling short by a score of 25-6. Quarterback Raelyn Borntraeger led the offense with several nice passes, and Grace Bray-Daley Led the running game with several big plays, including a 30 yard run for a touchdown. Taniyah Cooper and Lucinda Desi also had several nice runs for first downs on the night. On the defensive side, Linebackers Molly Guthrie and Molly Altman led the team in tackles, While Savannah Lawson and Estella Sims both had crucial pass breakups in the end zone to prevent touchdowns. Overall, despite the final score, it was a solid performance by the junior varsity squad against SC’s varsity team.
