The LaPorte Slicers Girls Swimming and Dive Team suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Valparaiso Vikings 144-39. Although the score was lopsided, the Slicers swam well with numerous personal best swims. Abigail Burger dropped 2 seconds in both the 200 Freestyle, and 100 Backstroke. Noor Hakim had PRs in both the 100 Butterfly (1:09.87 -3rd), and the 100 Breaststroke (1:15.35-2nd). Cali Hatala finished 3rd in the 500 Freestyle, with a time close to her personal best. The Slicers continue to improve and rebuild on a base of very young swimmers. LaPorte falls to 2-1 for the season. Their next meet is this Saturday at home vs New Prairie. Always proud. Go Slicers!
