LP Girls Swimming & Diving Tops Mishawaka Marian 69-24, and Jimtown 81-8

The LaPorte Slicers beat Mishawaka Marian 69-24, and Jimtown 81-8 at the LaPorte Natatorium today. The Slicers won every event, and went 1-2 in most. It's always a challenge when you face undermanned teams. Our athletes have to get pumped up individually, and focus on racing the clock. There were a lot of great swims today. Cali Hatala had a big lifetime PR in the 500 Freestyle, and Lyla Bannwart emerged as our number 2 Flyer. Winning for LaPorte were: 200 Medley Relay: Regan Hughes (backstroke), Cali Hatala (breaststroke), Noor Hakim (butterfly), and Lily Siford (freestyle). 200 Freestyle: Abigail Burger 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly: Noor Hakim 50 & 100 Freestyle: Lily Siford 500 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke: Cali Hatala 200 Freestyle Relay: Katelyn Peterson, Hatala, Hakim & Siford 100 Backstroke: Regan Hughes 400 Freestyle Relay: Burger, Sofia LaRocco,Peterson, and Hughes The Slicers record climbs to 6-5, and they host Lake Central on Tuesday.
