The Slicers hosted the Indians of Lake Central tonight and fell 134-42. Lake Central was a fast, deep team, and they were too much for our young Slicer team. We still had some outstanding swims and several lifetime PRs. This was a meet where a second place finish should be celebrated. LaPorte opened up finishing second in the 200 Medley Relay behind Regan Hughes (backstroke), Cali Hatala (breaststroke), Noor Hakim (butterfly), and Lily Siford (freestyle). Cali Hatala finished second in both the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Freestyle with near PR swims. Noor Hakim finished 3rd in the 100 Butterfly with a lifetime PR. The swim of the meet goes to Hakim, who finished second in the 100 Breaststroke with a 2 second drop from her previous lifetime PR. Hakim came in with a PR of 1:15.45, and skipped the 1:14's to finish 1:13.49. Shoutouts to Katelyn Peterson, Madi Griffin, Lyla Bannwart, and Lily Siford for achieving Lifetime PR's. The Slicers record falls to 6-6, and they travel to Highland on Thursday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
