Slicers fall on the road to Concord, 56-50

The Varsity boys basketball team used a valiant effort but fell to state-ranked Concord (14-2) 56-50 on Saturday night. LaPorte was led by Rylan Kieszkowski with 15 points, 5 rebounds. Malik Corley, Dylan Salisbury and Nic Spence each had 9 points in the loss. Corley also added 5 assists. Griff Ott-Large chipped in 6 points, 7 rebounds for the Slicers. The loss dropped LaPorte back to .500 at 8-8 on the season. Concord, which owns the state's top ranked 4A defense, giving up only 38 ppg, improved to 14-2 with the win. Next up for LaPorte is a road DAC game at Valpo on Thursday night.
