The Varsity Boys Basketball team couldn't sustain a strong start Friday night in a 68-64 loss to South Bend Clay. The Colonials caught fire in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, going 7/15 from 3 to pull ahead. LaPorte was led by Griffin Ott-Large with 19 points, including going 4/4 from the arc. Rylan Kieszkowski added 12 points, 4 rebs, and 4 assists. Nic Spence also chipped in 10 points for the Slicers, who close the regular season at 10-13. LaPorte travels to Mishawaka on Tuesday where they play the host Cavemen at 5 PM CST in the opening round of the IHSAA Sectional.
