Lake Central scored 10 runs in the first inning to propel themselves to an 11-0 victory against the LaPorte JV on Tuesday. Kieanna Simpson started on the mound allowing eight hits and nine earned runs, and walking two Lake Central batters. Mia Johnson pitched the final three innings surrendering one run (zero earned), five hits, striking out one and walking two. LaPorte hit the ball hard at times, but only managed one base hit. Mia Johnson broke up the Lake Central no-hitter with a two out in the top of the fifth inning. Johnson stroked a solid line drive to right field to spoil the no-hitter. The Slicers take on Chesterton Wednesday for another DAC matchup.
