Slicer Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Matt Miller as the Head Coach of the Girls Cross Country program. Coach Miller brings some great expertise that he is excited to share with the girls in the program. Coach Miller is a 2009 graduate of La Porte HS, where he ran Cross Country (and was a part of the 2007 IHSAA State Runner-up Team). He went on to Belmont where he earned both undergrad ('14) and graduate ('16) degrees. Coach Miller is a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at La Porte MS, and is also an Assistant Coach on the Boys Basketball team. Any girls interested in joining the Cross Country team are encouraged to contact Coach Miller (mamiller@lpcsc.k12.in.us) with any questions. The girls are currently practicing Monday-Friday from 7:30-9:00 am (meet in back parking lot of HS). Their season officially kicks off Monday, August 5th. ONCE A SLICER, ALWAYS A SLICER!!!
