LPVB falls in 4 at Portage

The LaPorte varsity volleyball team dropped a 26-24, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21 Duneland Athletic Conference decision at Portage on Tuesday night. Offensively, Kaitlin Wilson led the way with 12 kills, while Avery Tulacz added nine kills. Madison Copeland chipped in with seven kills and Tessa Koepke had five. Elizabeth Anglin dished out a team-best 21 assists and Lilly Buckley had 15 helpers. Defensively, Mia Mendoza led the team with 24 digs and Shayla Sorg added 21. Tulacz (18), Anglin (17) and Emma Hull (13) all recorded double figure totals. At the net, Koepke had four blocks and Anglin had two. On the service line, Anglin had four aces with Mendoza contributing two. In the junior varsity contest, the Slicers won 25-17, 25-19.
