LPVB picks up 1st DAC win

The LaPorte Volleyball team picked up its first Duneland Athletic Conference victory of the season with a 25-19, 24-26, 25-17, 28-26 win over Michigan City on Thursday night. Offensively, Elizabeth Anglin led the way with a career-high 19 kills, while Avery Tulacz added 12 kills. Kaitlin Wilson recorded nine kills in the win. Lilly Buckley handed out a team-best 29 assists and Anglin contributed 15 helpers. Defensively, Shayla Sorg had 35 digs in her first career start and with Tulacz adding 28 digs. Mia Mendoza added 22 digs and Anglin had 16. Emma Hull and Buckley each tallied nine digs. At the net, Anglin had four blocks with Madison Copeland tallying three. Tessa Koepke recorded two block kills. On the service line, Hull had six aces with Mendoza adding four. Buckley and Anglin had two aces each. In the junior varsity match, the Slicers won 25-16, 25-10.
