The LaPorte volleyball team swept Portage 27-25, 25-14, 25-22 in a Duneland Athletic Conference contest on Thursday night. Celebrating Senior Night, the Slicer offense was led by Avery Tulacz and Elizabeth Anglin with eight kills each. Kaitlin Wilson added seven kills, while Madison Copeland (5 kills) and Tessa Koepke (4 kills) also contributed to the victory. Lilly Buckley dished out a team-best 17 assists and Anglin added in 14 helpers. Defensively, Tulacz had eight digs with Buckley adding seven. Wilson and Emma Hull each had five digs, while Abbie DeLee, Mia Mendoza and Madalyn Kreamer all had four digs. At the net, Copeland had three blocks with Anglin adding two blocks. On the service line, Mendoza had five aces and Anglin tallied four aces. In the junior varsity contest, the Slicers won 2-0 over the Indians.
