LPVB goes 3-1 at Warsaw Invite

The LaPorte varsity volleyball team went 3-1 at the Warsaw Invitational on Saturday. The Slicers picked up victories over Ft. Wayne Northrop (26-24, 25-8), Plymouth (25-15, 25-17) and Ft. Wayne Snider (25-14, 25-16) and dropped a 20-25, 25-18, 15-12 decision to Angola. Offensively, Avery Tulacz led LP with 20 kills, while Elizabeth Anglin added 18 kills. Madison Copeland tallied 12 kills with Abbie DeLee and Kaitlin Wilson collecting 11 each. Lilly Buckley dished out a team-best 38 assists and Anglin added 31 helpers. Defensively, Anglin and Emma Hull led the way with 25 digs each and Tulacz added 21 digs. Buckley recorded 15 digs, while Mia Mendoza added 12 and Shayla Sorg had 11. At the net, Tessa Koepke had eight blocks and Anglin tallied five. Copeland and Wilson had three blocks each. On the service line, Tulacz had 11 aces and Hull had seven. Anglin recorded six aces with Mendoza and Sorg adding four each.
