The Boys Varsity basketball team got back in the win column Saturday in Slicer Gym with a 47-41 victory over Concord (10-6). La Porte overcame a sluggish start to take a lead into the second half that they would not relinquish. Griffin Ott-Large had 16 points, and 4 assists, while knocking down 8/9 from the free throw line. Destin Matzke had 9 points, 5 rebounds, and Sawyer Tonagel chipped in 7 points, 5 rebounds for the Slicers, now 12-6 on the season. La Porte returns to action at home Thursday night vs Valparaiso in Duneland Conference action.
