The La Porte Slicers Boys Varsity Basketball team beat Michigan City 66-51 in the Sectional Semifinals Friday night. The Slicers were led by Griffin Ott-Large with 21 pts, 7 assists. Both Reed Raymond and Nic Spence recorded Double-Doubles on the night with Raymond scoring 13 and pulling down 10 rebounds, while Spence had 12 points, and a career-high 16 rebounds. Sawyer Tonagel had 12 points and Destin Matzke added 7 points for La Porte, who improved to 16-9 on the season. With the win, La Porte has earned a spot in the Sectional Championship Saturday night against South Bend Riley (20-4). The game is at 6:30 PM CST at Michigan City HS.
