In the third inning, Benedict homered to right field, scoring three runs. La Porte Varsity Slicers won thanks in part to seven runs in the fourth inning. Bryce McShane singled, scoring one run, Keli Hay singled, scoring two runs, a passed ball scored two runs, and Keegan Ramos lined out, scoring two runs. Ethan Schoof earned the win for La Porte Varsity Slicers. The starter gave up one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking three. Aiden Anthony took the loss for Griffith. The hurler went three innings, allowing seven runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out five and walking four. Hay, McShane, Benedict, and Ramos each collected one hit for La Porte Varsity Slicers. Gage Raymond paced La Porte Varsity Slicers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. La Porte Varsity Slicers didn't commit a single error in the field. Braxton Maxfield had the most chances in the field with nine. Jason Quillin went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Griffith in hits.
