LaPorte roared back after trailing 8-0 entering the fifth inning scoring three runs in the fifth, four runs in the sixth and five runs in the seventh inning to win their first game of the year. Keraghan Blind was the starting pitcher lasting two innings giving up five runs. Mia Johnson pitched the last five innings also allowing five runs. The Slicers were led in hitting by Bella Escobedo with four hits, Paige White with two, and Blind, Johnson, Madelyn Allen and Ava Hedricks with one hit each.
