Varsity vs Lake Central High School (93 - 39) Win Varsity vs Merrillville High School (60 - 72) Loss In week one of the outdoor season, the Slicers braved the cold conditions and earned a split by beating Lake Central, while losing a close one to Merrillville. The meet was highlighted by several standout individual performances including Jack Miskowicz winning the 1600m (4:36.26) and 800m (2:03.23), Landyn Hunt winning the 400 (50.42), Hunter Quadlin winning the 3200m (10:22.01), Gavin Wilson finishing 2nd overall in the 110HH (15.84) and 300IH (41.58), Destin Matzke and Preston Scheidt tying for 2nd place overall in the high jump (5-10), Tayshaun Williams finishing 2nd in the 200m (22.77), and Lucas DelRio in the shot put (47-5). The Slicers 4x800 Relay team of Liam Lilly, Quadlin, L. Hunt, and Evan Howes won with a time of 8:28.67, and the 4x400 relay team of Wilson, Miskowitz, L.
