The LaPorte JV Softball Team defeated Merrillville 16-1. Abby Culp started on the mound pitching three innings, gave up one hit, and struck out 8 Merrillville batters. Madelyn Allen pitched the last two innings, and didn't allow a hit. Sophi Meredith led the Slicers with four hits, Hollis Murphy, Ava Hendrick and Audrey Forney had three hits, and Giana Antisdel and Mia Johnson had two hits each. LaPorte had 20 hits in total.
