LaPorte Girls Track and Field competed at the Elkhart Lioness Invitational on Friday, April 18th; we had an impressive showing with many top finishes and personal records. Top scoring individuals were as follows: 100m Hurdles: Lana Schable (18.51) 5th Place 1600m Run- Caylin VanShoyck (5:37.89) 2nd Place 400m Dash- Natali Cuarenta (1:12.65) 7th Place 300m Hurdles- Lana Schable (50.49) 1st Place 800m Run- Caitlyn Carnes (2:34.27) 2nd Place, Faith Spain (2:57.00) 8th Place 3200m Run- Faith Spain (11:50.54) 1st Place High Jump- Melynda Gilbert (4'4") 5th Place Pole Vault- Anna Beck (7'0") 4th Place Long Jump- Erica Atwater (12'7") 7th Place Discus- Rae Dawsey (72-02) 5th Place, Alyviah Mason (75-08) 7th Place Shot Put- Rae Dawsey (32-01) 4th Place, Esme Harner (28-00) 6th Place, Alaina Jeffers (27-04) 8th Place LPGTF placed 3rd out of 4 teams at the invitational. We will be back in action on Tuesday, April 22nd at home against Portage. We cannot wait to see you there!
