Members of the Slicers distance squad travelled to Fort Wayne North Side to compete in the 800m run at the Middle Distance showcase, and the result was 4 personal bests in the process. Winning heat 1 was Landyn Hunt with a new personal best time of 1:55.51, which also marked the 14th best time in the state. Following up for the Slicers in that heat was Hunter Quadlin and Jack Miskowicz with sub 2 minute times of 1:59.20 and 1:59.51 respectively. Capping off the evening in heat 2 was Liam Lilly’s personal best performance of 1:55.34, good for 12th best in the state so far. These performances put the Slicers in prime position for the postseason as Lilly and Hunt are the top 2 800m competitors in the Region. Combined with Quadlin and Miskowicz, they are the only Region team to have ran below 8 minutes thus far in the 4x800 relay collectively. Great job, Slicers! Be electric! Keep the ball rolling!
