Varsity vs Crown Point High School (12 - 20) Loss On Senior night the Slicers could not overcome three turnovers and fell by one score to the Bulldogs 12 - 20. Defensively the Slicers had several contributors. Rae Dawsey & Kyria Zapala each recorded 5 tackles and two tackles for a loss. Serena Galvas added a couple tackles and two sacks. Ari Northrop, Emyah Haynes, Lexi Dawsey, Mina Cuarenta and Leah Williamson all contributed with several key stops on the night, Offensively Kyria Zapala rushed for 67 yds and a touchdown. Lexi Dawsey threw for 80 yds one touchdown and two interceptions. Lexi's lone touchdown connected with her sister Rae Dawsey for a senior night sister connection. Rae had 56 yds receiving and a touchdown. Josie Smith ran for 20 yds and had two catches for 12 yds and Leah Williamson added two catches on the night. The Slicers play in the Sectional Tournament Saturday Oct. 11th @ 2:30pm at Ames Field vs. Michigan City.
