Slicers Shutout City 22-0 Freshman vs Michigan City High School Win On the opening drive La Porte kept the ball on the ground and got an early touchdown from Landen Elliott followed by a successful 2pt conversion from Elliott to go up 8-0. In the 2nd quarter Josh Means made an incredible play when he ripped the ball away for an interception. The Slocers were able to capitalize on the takeaway with another Landen Elliott rushing touchdown. Leo Gonzales was successful kicking the PAT. In the 3rd quarter your La Porte Slicers were able to find the end zone again and this time it was Quinn White with the rushing touchdown. Gonzales was successful once again making the PAT. In the 4th quarter Connor Pitts forced a fumble that was recovered by Cameron Coursel of La Porte. With 8 seconds left in the game Chase Gregory intercepted the ball in the end zone to close the game out for a Slicers victory. Your Slicers are 5-3 on the season and 2-3 in conference play. La Porte will be on the road again next week for the season finale against the Portage Indians. Kickoff is at 6 pm.
