The Warriorettes opened the season hosting the Scottsburg Invite at McClain Hall. Scottsburg went 2-2 on the day. In their first match of the day, they defeated Crothersville 25-8, 25-11. In their second match, they lost to Southport 26-24, 23-25, 7-15. In the 3rd match of the day, the Warriorettes defeated MSC foe Salem 25-15, 25-10. In the final match of the day, the Warriorettes lost to Mitchell 20-25, 20-25. Southport was the eventual tournament champion going 4-0 while Mitchell was runner-up with a record of 3-1.
