Warrior Wrestling Falls to Seymour in Dual Meet

The Scottsburg Warrior wrestling team faced a challenging night on the mat Thursday, dropping a dual meet to Seymour by a final score of 71–6. Seymour jumped out to an early lead, capitalizing on several falls and forfeits throughout the upper and middle weights. The Owls earned bonus points in multiple matches, building momentum as the meet progressed Despite the final score, the Warriors showed determination and resilience. Scottsburg’s lone victory came at 157 pounds, where Luke Hamilton delivered an impressive performance. Hamilton secured a fall at the 2:29 mark against Seymour’s Raul Diego Juan, putting Scottsburg on the board and providing a bright spot for the Warriors Several Scottsburg wrestlers gained valuable mat time against a strong Seymour lineup, an experience that will benefit the team as they continue through the season.
