The Scottsburg Warriors fell behind 14-0 early in the 1st Quarter but battled back to take a 21-14 halftime lead over the host Salem Lions in the semi-finals of Sectional 32. In the second half, the Warriors extended the lead to 31-14 before Salem scored 17 unanswered in the 4th quarter, tying the game with 8 seconds left on a 43 yard field goal that sent the game to overtime. In the overtime, the Warriors ran three plays capping off their possession with a quarterback sneak by Nathan Byrd to score. Lucas Toppe's extra point attempt was good giving the Warriors a 38-31 lead. On Salem's overtime possession the Warrior defense kept the Lions out of the endzone giving the Warriors the 38-31 victory. The Warriors will host Heritage Hills on Friday, November 3rd at 7:30 pm at Warrior Field. Tickets will be $7 each and may be purchased at the gate.
