The Scottsburg Warriorettes defeated Charlestown 54-41 to advance to the Championship game of the Charlestown Class 3A Girls Basketball Sectional. The Warriorettes will face Madison Consolidated who defeated Salem 54-32. During the 3rd quarter of the victory, Junior guard Ellie Richardson recorded her 1,000th career point. She became just the 3rd Warriorette to accomplish the feat during their Junior season joining Renee Westmoreland and Patty (Hutchinson) Clancy. The Warriorettes improved to 20-4 with the win, marking the first 20 win season since the 1994-95 season.
