Tanner Best drove in five runs on two hits to lead Scottsburg Varsity Warriors past New Washington Varsity Mustangs 15-0 on Saturday. In the fourth inning, Best hit a grand slam to center field. Scottsburg Varsity Warriors scored 10 runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Easton Nichols induced Best to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, a passed ball scored one run, Carter Gricius homered to center field, scoring two runs, Tucker Doriot singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Best hit a grand slam to center field.
