The Scottsburg Warriors defeated the Mitchell Bluejackets 4-1 on Tuesday. Scottsburg opened the scoring in the bottom of the 1st inning thanks to two errors. The Warriors first got on board when an error scored one run. Scottsburg extended their early lead with two runs in the bottof the third thanks to RBI Singles by Braden Cox and Brentley Spaw. Garrett McClellan earned the win for the Scottsburg Warriors. The righty allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out tow and walking two. Conner Teague took the loss for Mitchell. The starting pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking three. Tanner Best collected the save for the Warriors. Scottsburg's Cox made the most of his chances at the plate. The number eight hitter led the team with two hits in three at bats. Spaw and Cox each drove in one run for the Warriors. Scottsburg turned one double play. AJ Sarver, Bryson Zeeks, Ashton Luman and Ethan Turner each collected one hit for Mitchell. Ben Seitzinger led the team with one run batter in. Mitchell turned on double play in the game. Next up for Scottsburg is a game against Charlestown on Thursday.
