Brandt Kendall drove in four runs on two hits to lead Scottsburg past Salem 10-2 on Monday. Kendall doubled in the third inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the seventh inning, scoring two. Scottsburg jumped out to the lead in the top of the third inning after Kendall doubled, scoring two runs, and Carter Gricius grounded out, scoring one run. Tanner Best earned the win for the Warriors. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking three. Kaiden Romero-Hembree took the loss for Salem. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out none and walking three. Garrett McClellan threw two innings of no-run ball for Scottsburg in relief. He gave up one hit, striking out one and walking one. Scottsburg accumulated 10 hits in the game. Dylan Roberts went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Scottsburg in hits. Tucker Doriot paced Scottsburg with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Scottsburg turned two double plays in the game. Zayne Paulley and Gage Prasil each drove in one run for Salem. Cameron Albertson went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Salem in hits. Scottsburg will travel to Trinity Lutheran for their next game on Tuesday, April 23rd.
