Scottsburg Varsity Warriors Firing On All Cylinders Against Eastern Varsity Musketeers By GameChanger Media Scottsburg Varsity Warriors won big over Eastern Varsity Musketeers 13-5 on Thursday. Scottsburg Varsity Warriors got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brandt Kendall homered to right field, scoring two runs, and Cale Barger hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Scottsburg Varsity Warriors scored six runs on three hits in the top of the second inning. Cason Owens grounded out, scoring one run, Ty Roberts singled, scoring two runs, Tucker Doriot drew a walk, scoring one run, and Caiden Boswell singled, scoring two runs. Scottsburg Varsity Warriors added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Roberts singled to the left side of the infield, and Eastern Varsity Musketeers committed an error, each scoring one run. Eastern Varsity Musketeers scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Easton Gray singled, scoring one run, Connor Gilstrap singled, scoring two runs, one run scored on another play, and Christian Reschar singled, scoring one run. Garrett McClellan earned the win for Scottsburg Varsity Warriors. The starter surrendered three hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out six and walking none. Boone Miller took the loss for Eastern Varsity Musketeers. The starter went two innings, giving up nine runs (eight earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking eight. Doriot, Roberts, and Ian Gricius each threw scoreless innings for Scottsburg Varsity Warriors in relief. Scottsburg Varsity Warriors collected nine hits in the game. Roberts drove the middle of the lineup, leading Scottsburg Varsity Warriors with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-3 on the day.
