The game was tied at one in the bottom of the sixth when Brandt Kendall homered to right field, scoring two runs. The pitching was strong on both sides. Scottsburg Varsity Warriors pitchers struck out 12, while Brownstown Central Varsity Braves sat down two. Brownstown Central Varsity Braves opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run. Ty Roberts singled to left field, which helped Scottsburg Varsity Warriors tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. Garrett McClellan earned the win for Scottsburg Varsity Warriors. The hurler surrendered five hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking none. Kye Trueblood took the loss for Brownstown Central Varsity Braves. The right-handed pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking four. Kendall provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Scottsburg Varsity Warriors with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Kendall, Roberts, and Braden Cox each collected one hit for Scottsburg Varsity Warriors. Cox stole two bases.
