McClellan Collects Four Hits as Scottsburg Defeats Salem 12-2 Four hits from Garret McClellan helped lead the way for Scottsburg Warriors over the Salem Lions 12-2 on Friday. McClellan singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fifth. Scottsburg fired up the offense in the first inning, when Kaden Raichel doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. The Warriors pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Nate Montgomery doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Raichel was the winning pitcher for Scottsburg. The righthander allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out four. Chance Colwell toed the rubber for the Salem Lions. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing 11 hits and nine runs while striking out three. Josh Reardon threw one and one-third innings in relief. Scottsburg saw the ball well, racking up 15 hits in the game. McClellan, Montgomery, Dawson Richey, and Raichel all had multiple hits for the Warriors. McClellan led Scottsburg with four hits in four at bats.
